If words could express emotion but in it’s fullest way, then, I’d be the happiest man alive! What made me feel like this? Well, this little site called Vivud.com. What made me so happy was the fact that the moment I laid my eyes on it, I saw so many things that were good and that were extremely bad that I almost got an erection just from thinking about it. Sick, isn’t it? But, since I take my job very seriously, even woodies happen when I conduct myself in a very professional manner. That’s probably why I’m a porn site reviewer otherwise this quirk of would have probably gotten me in trouble if I was doing other things like accounting, statistics, roofing, you know the mainstream accepted stuff, but enough of my rambling, onwards to Vivud.com.
The initial impression was a confusing one. The videos are plastered all over the homepage but the way that they are placed it seemed as if they are a part of a .JPG picture. You know those banners where it seems as if you can click on a video and then you do but it was actually a redirect page that looked like it had multiple videos, well, this is exactly how Vivud.com’s homepage looks like, like one big redirect page. There were many porn videos, with duration numbers to them, that’s it. You can scroll down the page like many, many, many times and it is like a bottomless well, there’s just no end to it! Imagine a well like that! Interesting, very interesting indeed. Imagine having a well like that in Africa! That would certainly solve a lot of problems that they are having over there. I’m a freaking genius! TPD for a Nobel prize winner!
I clicked on one of the videos and I got a redirect pop up! Hell yeah! My pain in the ass started to act up again! I hit X on all of the pages that weren’t supposed to be there, but I got a pull up add once I started scrolling down the page. Yet another add, mother-f*****! Alright, I hit X again and proceeded with the video. There was an advertisement for WatchMyGf across the video and it had that Close and Play thing. I hit it and finally, the video started playing and after like 3 seconds there it was again, a banner across the bottom part of the video. Mother-f*****!
What’s crazy about the video was that it was surrounded by all the videos that Vivud.com had on the site. On the top, there was a row of videos and underneath the video there were videos. Lots and lots of videos. No texts, no tags, no downloads, no nothing man. It was stripped down to its core and it was pushing videos down your throat without any sense. The pic quality of the video was a default one, so you had a grainy ass video that had a play button, sound and full-screen button to it. That’s it! There are no Related categories, there is not even a title for the video let alone a description of the video. Just a video, BAM! Here you go, enjoy the porn! It was lame as f*** and I couldn’t believe that they would make a site like this so lazily. This is not a way to present porn, not even porn but videos period!
So I wanted to see what was happening underneath the video that I just watched and there it was, that bottomless pit again of videos that are going on and on and they never stop. It was as if I was back on the homepage but I was on the video page. Very cool, very cool indeed, not! If I didn’t know any better I’d think that this was a WordPress site. All in all, there were so many things that I didn’t like that I almost quit on the site completely but since TPD is not a quitter, I stayed.
I gave it a chance and I wanted to see what were the advantages of a site like this. Having a stripped down site like this gives you speed and ease of interaction. All of the videos streamed immediately and they never skipped a beat nor did they buffer up. I liked that. It was kind of hard to imagine browsing around for a specific video on this site since there was no search bar but that makes sense since there are no tags to anchor the videos. I guess these are the problems that Vivud.com has to take care of.
All in all, the best thing about Vivud.com were the videos. They were mostly the ones that you’d see on premium sites and they were high production vids. I didn’t see any that were homemade or amateur and I can’t even imagine them considering that the videos come in the pic quality that’s stripped away from all of the crispiness that a video is supposed to have. All in all, this is a site that’s a copy/paste site, one that is supposed to be used for a quick wank. On to the next one.
