Tumbex.com doesn’t immediately look like the kind of site you’d want to browse after railing a line of crushed Viagra off the counter in the Starbucks restroom. The name is a combination of Tumblr and Index, and that’s exactly what the site does. As it says right there in the header, it gives you “access to all blogs, with a streamlined design and optimized navigation”. There’s nothing inherently sexy about that, especially if you’ve seen Tumblr’s front page full of SFW memes, cat photos and motivational quotes.
You already know I wouldn’t be talking about Tumbex here at ThePornDude if there weren’t any reasons to open another bottle of lube while perusing its offerings. The site gets over 5 million visits a month, and I wonder how many of them know what I know. Spoiler alert: I already know a lot of them are using Tumbex to find Tumblr’s hidden stashes of free X-rated content.
Tumblr Sucks, But This Makes It Better
Tumblr.com has been around since 2007, carving their own little niche in the web’s social media landscape. For a while, it was a hopping hive of dirty movies, kinky erotica, and hardcore porn videos. At their height, it was estimated that over 20% of their content consisted of naked broads, humping couples, freaky lesbians and extreme gangbangs. It was a happening place by any measure.
That all changed on December 17, 2018, when the site instituted a total ban on adult content. They’d been inching toward the ignoble goal for a year or so after Yahoo bought the company. Their first step was to institute a restrictive Safe Mode that was turned on by default, effectively hiding the torrent of smut from the viewing public.
The system was always a crock of shit, in theory and in practice. Lots of non-porn content got flagged and youngsters got their Pokemon blogs banned, but it was the smut fans who really suffered. Tumblr shot themselves in the balls, too, because page visits and app downloads took a massive hit.
I was perusing Tumblr’s recent posts tagged with #sex earlier, and it was really fucking difficult to find anything to keep my dick hard. It was mostly memes and jokes, with a rare lingerie shot thrown in. One of the things I love about Tumbex.com immediately is that they make it much easier to find the banned porn on Tumblr.
A Wide Variety of Banned Tumblr Porn
Tumbex has an extremely simple setup. The top of the front page features a couple of search boxes. Type in your keywords or use the second box if you already know the name of the tumblog you want to beat off to.
These features aren’t immediately useful to masturbators who aren’t already familiar with at least a few favorite Tumblr pages. If you don’t know a name, you obviously can’t type it in the box. Worse, the search engine uses Tumblr’s, which bans words like Porn, Anal, Erotica, Hentai, and Dildo. How the fuck are you supposed to find fap fodder when the system is so severely crippled by puritans and Karens?
Well, scroll down Tumbex’s front page just a little bit to the Last Tumblr Viewed section. Remember I said I was pretty sure most Tumbex users are jacking off? This is how I know. Most of the recently viewed Tumblrs on the site are chock full of adult content.
Goddamn, I wish I had known about this earlier when I was trying to fluff my flaccid cock to all those goddamn Simpsons memes and inspirational poetry. This section of Tumbex alone is like a treasure map to all the buried nudes and pornography in Tumblr’s vast corridors.
Tumblr has a wide variety of content, and that holds true now that I’ve found my way to the good stuff. Tumbex has all kinds of naughty pictures and movies to get you all hard and drippy, instantly accessible through the Last Tumblr Viewed area.
Some random clicking yields Japanese upskirt movies, cock-sucking Indian girls, a collection of tranny GIFs and a tumblog entirely devoted to squeezing, smacking and caressing big, luscious female asses. They’ve got deep galleries of big-titted broads, Asian nymphettes, girls committing public indecency, and anthropomorphic animals fucking each other in furry porn. There are guys buttfucking and sucking each other off, so all you fags are covered, too.
What’s Trending? Smut, of Course!
If I have one complaint about Tumbex.com’s simple layout, it’s that it might be too simple. Aside from those semi-useless search boxes and the Last Tumblrs Viewed, the only other thing they have to offer is a very small Trends area. Four Tumblrs are showcased here, and I have to assume they’re chosen based on how much attention each is getting through Tumbex.
So what’s trending, you ask? Come on. I think you already know the answer, given what people are already using the site to browse. It ain’t the same cute animals and COVID-19 gags featured prominently on the main site.
Right now, one of the Trending blogs is a gay fetish extravaganza, which ain’t really my thing. The bondage girl tumblog is more to my liking, with thousands of photos and GIFs of beautiful women tied up with gags in their mouths. Another featured blog is full of gorgeous women posing in pictures and getting fucked in GIFs, plus a sprinkling of food photos that prove this pervert is a true gourmand. The final featured one is a collection of porn photos with added captions, turning everything into a cuckold scenario.
With the exception of that queer blog featured on Tumbex, I can fap to all of their Trending material. I really wish there were more than four, though!
For that matter, I wish the Last Tumblr Viewed section ran deeper, longer and harder, and was indexed in an easier way. If you click the More button, it serves up hundreds of Tumblrs, most with adult content, but it’s hard to tell what any of them are before clicking through. Some have suggestive names and an explicit profile icon, but most have nonsense names and generic icons. Pick a card, any card—it’ll probably be porn, but what kind is going to be a surprise.
A Treasure Map of a Porn Graveyard
Once you’ve selected a porn blog from Tumbex’s index, the site gives you a streamlined view of it. It’s really not all that different from Tumblr’s own layout, though I did find it more convenient for viewing the blogs flagged as sensitive. You don’t need to log in and fuck with your settings like you do on the main site.
One thing I noticed while reviewing the site is that most of the porno is old. Remember I said the perverts jumped ship when Tumblr banned adult content? That’s really fucking clear when you’re browsing the blogs through Tumbex, because most of the blogs have not been updated in years. The place just ain’t the same, and no special backdoor like Tumbex will change that.
I got a stray pop-under when I first started browsing the site. After that, my ad-blocker adjusted and I didn’t get any other spam during my visit. I didn’t even see any sidebar ads or anything, just their clean, simple layout and all the dirty animations, photos and memes it brings along with it.
I have to admit, Tumblr.com ain’t my favorite social media site. If I’m jacking off, I prefer one of the ones who haven’t banned adult content. I’ve got a whole section of Snapchat Porn Sites here at ThePornDude, where you can get an easier fix. Hell, I even find it easier to jack off to regular ol’ Instagram than to Tumblr’s family-friendly bullshit.
Tumbex.com really changes the game. The search options might be useful if you’re already a seasoned Tumblr masturbator, but the site’s true strength is their index and links to the site’s actual adult content. This is the really good stuff, the stuff that Yahoo tried to sweep under the rug when they ruined the website. If you’re determined to get your rocks off to the shared user content at Tumblr, Tumbex is a fucking essential tool in the jizzbox.
