I got a Sweet Sext (SnapSext) this morning, but it wasn’t from a girlfriend, a random Tinder hookup, or one of the pornstars I’ve banged over at PornDudeCasting. It wasn’t even from your wife, either, but let her know I said, “Hey.” No, I’m actually just getting to know this chick, and hopefully tonight I get to know her a bit more intimately. She seems just as horny as I am, plus she’s hot as hell and it seems like we share some similar interests, like hardcore pornography.
Of course, my status as the world-famous Porn Dude has been helping me get laid for years. While you may not have achieved all that I have, there’s still hope for you. Hell, with this next site, you might even be able to get laid in the comfort of the subterranean lair of your mom’s basement. SweetSext.com is a hookup site with an emphasis on sexting, as you may have guessed from the name. The brand is undergoing some significant changes right now, so it seemed like a good time to get in there and see what they’ve got to offer. You ready to send some dirty texts?
Get a Sweet Sext from a Sweet Lady
SweetSext.com was a lot more popular at the beginning of 2024, when they were pulling around 4 million visits per month. These days, in June, they’re only getting about a quarter of that. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, because as they’ve spelled out on the top of the landing page, they’re actually in the process of joining a few different sites together. SnapSext, Snapbang and SweetSext are now united under the same banner, and your login from any of the sites will work here.
My hope is that they’re still pulling some traffic from other domains that isn’t showing up on the graph. A hookup or dating site is only ever as good as its userbase, since even the most well-designed social site is useless if it’s an internet ghost town. They give some stats out on the landing page: SweetSext.com has over a million registered members in the United States, and twice that throughout Canada, Australia, Great Britain and the rest of Europe. That’s good news, because it means you should have a good pool of potential hookup partners.
They also brag about having a “pretty even distribution of genders.” You already know that’s a big deal if you’ve ever tried a dating site that turned out to be a huge fucking sausage fest. The breakdown they give is 44% women and 66% men. I’m sure any math whiz reading this has noticed that adds up to 110%, which I don’t understand either. Maybe there’s a bonus 10% of users they’re counting even though they haven’t signed up yet. Are you among them?
There’s not much to look at through the front window of Sweet Sext aside from some sliding snapshots of members in bikinis, BDSM cat masks and cleavage-enhancing tops. You’re going to have to go into the store if you actually want to window shop, and that’s going to require registration. Basic memberships are free, though they’re a little bit cagey about the actual prices on the FAQ page. I guess I’ll have to sign up for an account to check out the damage.
Getting into This Sweet Sexting Thing
As with other hookup sites, one of the very few things on the landing page for SweetSext.com is the first question of their signup form. Choose whether you’re a Man, Woman or Couple and click Next. “How willing are you to send and receive nudes?” it asks next, immediately making me like the site more. After a few more questions about the types of women I’m attracted to, my age, zip code, and willingness to meet other Sweet Sext members, I gave them an email address and off I went.
There’s another, more detailed signup form to fill out with a few stats and interests, but it shouldn’t take you more than a minute or two to fill out. You can use SweetSext without uploading a selfie, but you probably ain’t going to get much action since they limit your search results to members with photos by default. Once you fill that out, they give you some details that would have helped sell the service earlier: they’ve been around for 11 years and won an AVN Award for Best Dating Website, though the year ain’t listed.
After that, I clicked the validation email they’d sent me. That’s when I finally got to see the actual SweetSext.com prices. There are 2-day and weeklong trials at a buck or ten, respectively, if you just want a taste. Regular membership is $35 a month, with significant discounts for longer memberships.
I wasn’t ready to pay for anything without seeing if they had any babes listed in my area. The pricing page makes it seem like you have to pay to continue, but you can just click the SweetSext logo at the top to poke around some more.
But What Can I Do for Free?
The member’s dashboard for Sweet Sext has a familiar social media feel, with a feed of trending users, popular member photos and some premium content available. I didn’t have access to the premium stuff without paying for a premium account, but it did catch my eye. Members can post straight-up amateur porn on SweetSext. That’s a key feature when you consider how restrictive a lot of dating sites get when it comes to posting nudes. Babes on this site ain’t just posting topless selfies, but stripteases, masturbation scenes, blowjobs and POV fuck flicks.
I was mostly curious about chicks in my area, so I did a search with my zip code. There’s no mileage filter, but most of my results were in the big city 30 miles from me. I was pleasantly surprised by the volume of available women, because the spread stretched on and on, with hundreds in my general area.
I spotted a 27-year-old cutie listed right in my town, and tried to click through to see the 9 pictures SweetSext said were in her profile. Unfortunately, you can’t view profiles without a paid account. In fact, you can’t do much of anything without a paid account.
Within minutes of registering my account, I was getting notifications about pokes, flirts and icebreakers from other members. Any time I tried to click any of them, I’d get a message telling me I needed to UPGRADE NOW before they’d let me look. They even include an expiration date, to let you know those messages are going to disappear in a week if you don’t pay up.
SweetSext.com says they take measures to make sure there are no fakes or scammers on their platform. I know I’m a good-looking motherfucker, but I’m also very skeptical about messages I get the very moment I sign up for a hookup site. I’m certainly curious, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t know that I’m curious enough to pay to read these messages, especially when I can’t really see photos of who they’re supposedly from.
It’s a little bit annoying, but not all that unusual for a dating site. They’ve got to make their money somewhere, and you pretty much always run into a paywall whenever you try to send a message on one of these sites. My biggest complaint is that we should get to see a little bit more of the profiles and pics. Frankly, I think it would go a long way in encouraging paid memberships. It’s a much harder sell with so few peeks.
My advice with SweetSext.com is to sign up for a free account and check out the local listings to see how many women are available around you. If the pickings look good, spring for one of the trial memberships before going all-in for the full shebang. The site looks great and the interface is sweet, but its actual utility is probably going to vary a lot depending on where you live. If you end up paying for an account and striking out, well, at least you can beat off to some of that amateur porn on the site.
