SoulCams may not be pulling the same kind of traffic as the big cam sites like LiveJasmin and Chaturbate, which ain’t to say they suck. Hell, the domain’s been around since 2017, which says a lot on a constantly shifting internet where sites die out at the drop of a hat. They’ve gone through both good times and bad, and are currently seeing some fat gains in their traffic. To be honest, that’s what initially caught my attention; going from 50k to 250k viewers over the course of a month is a good sign they’ve got something worth busting out the lube for in there.
Like most of you have guessed from the name, SoulCams.com is another live webcam sex site. These sites are a dime a dozen, and I’ve reviewed dozens of similar joints here at ThePornDude. The question is always what separates a site like Soul Cams from the other cam sites out there. With so many options, many of them a lot more well-known than this one, there’s got to be a reason people are tuning in in such big-ass numbers. That’s what I intended to find out as I lubed up the ol’ rubber bunghole for some live entertainment. Let’s see what there is to see!
Is Your Soulmate a Camwhore?
I mentioned that the SoulCams.com domain was registered back in 2017. I have to wonder if the site used to live on a different domain with a different brand name, because it frankly doesn’t look like a site from 2017. It actually looks a bit older, with a crusty color scheme and some genuinely ugly little contest banners at the top of the screen. People ain’t flocking here for the cutting-edge presentation, that’s for sure.
Nah, like any and every cam site out there, people are here for the girls. There’s a nice range of camwhores performing around here. Like most sites, they’ve got dudes, couples and trannies, but the bulk of the models are women—and what a range of babes! On the front page right now, I see stunning Latinas, Asian cosplay girls, seductive ebony goddesses, kinky blondes and sultry brunettes. There are women who look like the MILF next door, others who look like straight-up pornstars. All in all, it’s a damn fine spread.
I do wish they had some more filters to help you sort through the camwhores. Right now, the only filters are for gender, Lovense, Fan Club and Livester. There’s also a search bar, which might be helpful if a woman has typed out your fetish somewhere on her profile. Other than that, though, you’re on your own. I’d like to see the usual set of filters for body type, hair color, kinks and other preferences. The more models they have, the more important those filters are.
It’s one thing for a cam site to have a bunch of beautiful women on their roster. It’s another thing entirely for them to have a bunch of live, beautiful women that you can actually choose from when you tune in. I’m banging out this review on a Tuesday morning, still a couple hours before lunch, and I’ve got my pick of nearly 250 models. It ain’t the biggest, most active cam site out there, but you should run into hundreds of live webcam performers at any moment. I don’t know about you, but in my case, that’s a recipe for ruined productivity and a sticky, sperm-covered keyboard.
Show Me to the Live Naked Ladies
I sing the same chorus whenever I review a webcam sex site: the real free shows are the ones with a ton of viewers. Nearly every cam site out there claims to have freebies, but on the smaller, less active sites, the free shows are all bored women waiting around on their beds while fully dressed. I still managed to find some free entertainment pretty quickly. The first handful of Soul Cams chicks I clicked on were just sitting around, smiling at the camera, but girl number five was a winner. The MILFy Latina had her jugs out and jiggling already when I entered the chat, and the other viewers helped keep the show going.
I had mixed luck after that. There is free, live entertainment to be seen on SoulCams, but they don’t do anything to make it easy to find. You may have to do a fair amount of clicking before you find a babe with her tits out or a Lovense dangling from her hoo-ha. It’s kind of a frustrating setup, and I have to assume it’s by design. They could show you the number of viewers, let you sort by viewers, or give you a live preview from the front page, any of which would make the process a whole lot easier. The fact that they don’t suggests they’re hoping you end up paying to see some boobies instead.
Who’s Up for Some Prerecorded Porno?
The only clue that a woman is online with Soul Cams is a green bar below her name. That doesn’t actually tell you if she’s doing a public show, though. Many of the babes I clicked on were online but only accepting private show requests. Sometimes I was disappointed, but other times I’d be distracted by all the free photos in the SoulCams profiles. Some chicks only post SFW selfies, but there are plenty posting some quality amateur porno. I’m talking nudes and full-on sex photos, including 69s, titty fucks, foot fetishism and a lot more.
In addition to the free photo galleries, SoulCams also offers premium photos and videos. Just click the Videos or Premium Photos tabs at the top of the screen and you’ll get a sprawling picture menu of perversion. There are some more freebies in the video section, so I recommend a stop there first if you’re a bum with blue balls who couldn’t find a good, free live show to shake your dick at. I helped myself to a couple free stripteases and naked dance videos, which really slowed down my progress whipping up this review. I did manage to whip up some of my special homemade mayonnaise, though.
Prices for premium content typically range between 10 and 100 tokens, though there are some outliers who want even more. With that in mind, I made my way to the Buy Tokens page to see what the stuff would actually cost me. Last I checked, I only had cash in my bank account, not tokens.
Soul Cams tokens start at five bucks for fifty, but that’s the worst way to buy them. All the other packages include bonus tokens, with more bonuses for bigger spenders. New members to the site get an extra 150 tokens for free with their first fill-up. The one small catch is that you’ve got to spend at least twenty bucks, which shouldn’t be too hard. As I mentioned, the only package cheaper than that is fucking garbage anyway.
SoulCams.com ain’t the busiest cam site out there, but it ain’t the dinkiest, either. The real free shows do take some effort to find, but there’s a world of live adult entertainment waiting for anybody willing to pop a few quarters into the machine. The inclusion of a content sales platform helps elevate the Soul Cams offerings to another level, and frankly I think more cam sites should follow their lead. If nothing else, I recommend taking a peek at who’s online right now.
