When I hopped onto Zell23’s XXX sidescroller Forest of the Blue Skin, I thought I was going to have to whack those annoying blue bitches from the Avatar film. You know what I’m fucking talking about. Those blue-skinned dumb asses that used a bow and arrow to somehow defeat bigger dumb asses that utilized actual sci-fi technology. Fortunately, Zell23’s retro action platformer didn’t come close to being that fucking stupid.
Despite a name that evokes images of terrible science fiction, Forest of the Blue Skin is its own game and story. Far away from being about blue-skinned aliens getting invaded by dumb ass human beings, Forest of the Blue Skin challenges you to survive a world full of creatures that are trying to get you off at every turn. When they make you cum, it’s game over, so do your best to avoid their sexual advances. It is easier said than done, and you’re going to have a hell of a time surviving the seemingly never-ending forests that Zell23 throws at you.
Challenging – but stick with it
ThePornDude does not want to admit when he’s goddamn licked and beaten. But I have to say, Forest of the Blue Skin challenged me in the early game. I almost gave up. I almost stopped playing entirely. I almost threw my goddamn laptop and then my keyboard across my room in despair, cursing the developer and wishing that he had never developed this fucking game.
In truth, I was about to chock it up to the fact that Zell23 just doesn’t know how to create a fucking sidescroller that does not suck ass. I thought maybe this was a problem with the developer, but again, I stuck with it.
After roughly an hour of playing, the game finally clicked. After sticking with it and figuring out how Forest of the Blue Skin operates, it became more clear. Some may say that Zell23 probably needs to create a tutorial to help new players begin their journey through their first playthrough of Forest of the Blue Skin. But I don’t think that’s the case at all.
The difficulty of the game is what I found most appealing. This is like a hentai version of Dark Souls. To be totally accurate, it felt like an XXX version of a ‘Souls-like’ sidescroller called Salt and Sanctuary.
If you approach the game like a hentai Dark Souls where one wrong move can cost you the game, it becomes more enjoyable. That was the problem when I originally played Forest of the Blue Skin. I had to get my head in the right place before I played the game. You will too. Let me tell you: do not let the graphics trick your better judgement. Even though the game looks like a typical sidescroller, it’s much more difficult than these types of traditional games.
It’s a Souls-like, in other words. It’s a XXX version of the genre, too. Put your mind in the proper place whenever you start playing Forest of the Blue Skin. Expect a hard-as-balls game that’s going to bust those balls and turn you into a little bitch. And when you turn into a little bitch, trust me: you’re going to get fucked by the bunny creatures until your cock can’t stand it anymore and you cum all over their tits. That’s just how it’s going to go – prove me wrong!
Hard as hell
As you can see, one of the things that I came to appreciate about Forest of the Blue Skin is how the game is unrepiningly hard. Zell23 truly does not give a fuck if you die over and over again. They could care less if you can’t get past an enemy or an area. The developer does not hold your hand in any way. You are forced to learn, adapt, and force your way through each area of the game as you try to survive.
Whether you are trying to find a game that will get you off or you want to play a challenging game full of sexy enemies, it’s hard to admit that the challenge that Zell23 presents is not fucking awesome. I found myself constantly keeping an eye open for enemies that were walking toward me as I went from one doorway to another. Once an enemy gets close enough to grab you, you’re essentially as good as dead. They will fuck with you with such veracity that you have to escape quickly or you will cum.
I will give you a perfect example. I finally got through an area full of those BBW bunny beasts that squash you until you orgasm. I didn’t let them get close to me. I slayed those cunts until there were none left in the area. Once I was finished, I breathed easily and went through the doorway I had been trying to access for what felt like a long fucking time. But after jumping through the doorway, I came across waves that actually hurt me.
I jumped over the waves, only to be attacked by some giant goddamn sea monster that forced me to suck on her tits(?) until I came. There was no escaping this bitch, either – at least I could not in the moment. She strong-armed my ass to the point where there was no escape. And then that was it: I came.
This seems to happen a lot in Forest of the Blue Skin. Once you are caught, you need to escape quickly or you will cum and it will be game over. Even when you do escape, you may as well be good as fucked at that point. Just like in games like Dark Souls, where when you take a lot of damage, you might as well start over. It does not matter if you escaped while getting fucked and did not cum. If your dick meter shows that you are about to blow a load, all it is going to take is one stroke from an enemy and you are as good as done!
That is why it is important to save your game often! The save locations look like large crystal balls, and they have a save option at the bottom of the screen that shows you that this is where you save. Only being able to save at certain areas in the game makes it ridiculously difficult, too!
Again, it’s just like Dark Souls. Because you can only save in small spurts, you have to carefully traverse the world as you try and survive. It keeps you on your fucking toes, and that’s one of the great things about Forest of the Blue Skin. You never feel complacent, and are always wondering what dangers lie ahead.
Plenty of smutty monster action
What impresses me about Forest of the Blue Skin is that I didn’t even scratch the surface among the many enemies in the game. As I was looking at the different enemy types that I could come across while learning how to play this fucking game, I noticed that you will run into slime girls that can turn into humanoids and endlessly fuck you if you are shot by their balls of slime.
There are also caterpillar girls that can fuck you up if they touch you. In swamp areas, there are cockroach girls that will grab and fuck you if you fall into a pit with them. There is even an enemy called the Scylla, whose pussy will devour you so quickly that you do not have a chance to escape.
The enemy types are fucking vast! It makes the game that much hotter, too. Especially if the idea of fucking around with hot monsters and fucking them or watching them fuck you gets your dick hard. On top of that, you can actually catch some monsters, train them, and fuck them endlessly in your house. This allows you to get the perks of fucking them without dying and losing the game.
Monsters also have different traits. For example, some have a trait called mind controller that forces you to do things against your will. Others have a trait called invulnerable that makes them immune from all types of attacks. Check them out and learn about the different monster types, and try not to get your ass kicked too hard!
Suggestions:
Forest of the Blue Skin is a Souls-like hentai platformer will so many monster types and so much to see, you may never totally complete the game. That’s okay! For those that are looking for a challenging hentai type of game, they are going to find it here. Unfortunately, the keyboard controls are terrible and the game may be too unforgiving for some players.
