Have you met Astrid AI yet? It’s kind of a trick question, because Astrid ain’t actually a person or a character, even if there is a lovely lady beside the logo at the top of the page. AstridAI.co is a next-gen service that promises to create custom deepfake videos quickly and easily. Deepfakes caused a lot of commotion when they first started appearing online, though I feel like a lot of the hype died down as people realized how difficult they were to create. Well, folks, these days you don’t need to be a tech wizard to roll your own hyper-realistic fake porn scenes, at least not if Astrid comes through on their promises. The service is new as hell and still building their userbase, but I couldn’t wait to give it a test drive for myself. Who wants to ride along?
Deepfake Vids and the Magic of AI
If you want to know the truth, I wanted to try out AstridAI the moment I heard the premise. This isn’t the first time a custom deepfake app has popped up on my radar, but it does come at a time when AI porn sites have been blowing up in a big way. I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention, but lately I’m reviewing a few new AI sites a week, mostly porn generators and a few AI chat apps here and there. While earlier deepfake makers weren’t quite ready for primetime, the rapidly rising quality of AI content gave me much higher hopes for Astrid AI.
The samples on the front page are sure promising. They’ve got a side-by-side comparison video showing a blonde playing with her selfie cam, and I just have to assume the original is on the left with the AI version on the right. Both vids seem completely legit and unaltered, so I just have to guess based on how before-and-after samples usually work. In both shots, the babe pulls the camera close to her face, smiles and utters a couple words before pulling the camera back.
Further down the screen, they’ve got what looks like a gif of a camgirl taking off her jacket while chatting with her fans. I says “looks like” because the girl in question appears to be Scarlett Johansson, who I don’t believe has done any webcam whoring, at least not to my knowledge. Again, it seems like a legit, unaltered little loop. If I wasn’t seeing it on a deepfake generator website, I never would have assumed it was fake at all.
While we’re talking about ScarJo, this is a good place to mention AstridAI.co’s free services. You can make a few free deepfake videos with celebrities, but can’t upload your own custom faces without putting some coins in the slot. Free users can create 3 watermarked celebrity deepfakes per day, choosing from dozens of famous people. Their celebs list is wider and more inclusive than I would have guessed going in.
They’ve got traditional celebs like Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie, as well as influencers like Kylie Jenner and Nina Agdal, but it doesn’t stop there. Knowing the audience is a little geeky around here, Astrid AI has included Twitch streamers like Amouranth and Pokiman, and OnlyFans models like Bella Thorne and Mia Khalifa. If you want to get weird, they’ve even got an Others category that includes celebs like Donald Trump and Andrew Tate.
Getting Started with AstridAI
If I have any immediate complaint about the setup of AstridAI.co, it’s just that it only works with Telegram currently. While I imagine you’ve heard of the free messaging app, I wouldn’t be surprised if you ain’t using it; it’s still something of a niche service compared to some of the alternatives out there. Fortunately, registration is quick, free and easy, but you will need to use your phone even if you mainly plan on playing with Astrid AI through your laptop.
To get started, you’ll send a message to the AstridAI bot on Telegram, also known as @astridaibot. You’ll have to agree to the Terms of Service, and you’ll want to join their News Channel, which is really just a couple extra clicks they’ll walk you through. You can also join their Community Group if you want to see what kind of content other users are generating. For those of you looking to go all-in or who have already burned through their free credits, pricing is pretty straightforward. Each second of video generated costs 1 point, and points start at ten cents a pop. There are significant discounts on bigger packages, with a 3600-point sack going for an even hundo, which is 72% off the regular price. At this point, they’re only accepting crypto payments, but hopefully they add more options as AstridAI.co continues to gain popularity.
As a reviwer, I’ve got to do a lot of poking around before I can play. I’d had blue balls from the anticipation as I typed this up, but it was finally time to try it out for myself. I clicked the Create button and the AstridAI bot asked for a photo with a face in it, and then a video where I’d like the face replaced. I sent them a shot of the lovely Violet Gems from her recent visit to PornDudeCasting, along with a short video of a babe riding cowgirl on a dick.
Then I waited. The Astrid AI bot didn’t give me a timer or any other indication it was working, and I wasn’t sure how long it was supposed to take. As the minutes ticked by, I started to wonder if I’d done something wrong. I went back and checked AstridAI.co, which said my results should be ready in a minute. I uploaded a second video to see how the bot would respond, but it didn’t.
Getting AstridAI to Shine
After a bit of fucking around, I think I figured it out. The Astrid AI bot is picky as hell about what pics and videos it will accept, and it doesn’t currently tell you if you chose a non-starter. My photo of Violet was fine, but the first couple vids I uploaded weren’t. Finally, I hit a combination that worked: the picture of Violet and a short TikTok porno of a thick redhead flashing her tits and getting nailed.
Now for the good news, which I’ll bring into two parts. For one thing, deepfake video generation is remarkably fast using the AstridAI.co system. A message popped up saying to contact support if it took longer than half an hour, but it was ready for me in just about a minute.
Secondly, the quality is fucking astounding. I honestly wouldn’t have complained about having to wait longer, especially considering this tech was largely inaccessible to non-nerds just a few months ago. The resulting video is a little bit grainy compared to the one I’d uploaded, but there are no obvious signs it’s a fake video. It just looks like Violet Gems getting boned, albeit with a thicker body than real life.
I kept repeating the process. There is a fair amount of trial and error involved, and a few times I got messages saying my deepfake couldn’t be created and my points had been returned. My bigger complaint is how often the bot just leaves you hanging after you upload a pic or a video, leaving me to wonder if it was thinking or if I’d uploaded useless starter material.
AstridAI.co is one of the most promising deepfake apps I’ve seen yet. The ones that simply strip the clothes off a still picture have come a long way in the last year, but instant deepfake video creation has largely remained a wet dream of perverts the world ‘round. AstridAI’s bot may be picky as hell about what it kind of input it accepts, the output it generates is well worth the trial-and-error process it currently requires. As the platform continues to develop, I imagine it will become increasingly inclusive as far as the pics and vids it accepts, and the output should get better, too.
