AniDex, which is short for anime index, has been around in some form or another since 2011. Since it is a torrent site, they have to play that cat-and-mouse game with the Internet authorities, switching up the URL as the crackdowns come. AniDex.info has only been registered for a couple years, but they get about 1.3 million visits every month. That tells me they must have some pretty good shit on the menu here. Let’s check out.

You know how to use a torrent site, right? If this was a typical porno torrent directory, I’d have to spend a little more time going through the ins and outs of seeders, leechers, and the whole rigmarole of peer-to-peer filesharing. The thing is, I have a feeling you already know all about the shit. For whatever reason, you anime fans seem to be at least a little bit ahead of the curve when it comes to anything tech-related.
Just real quick, though: AniDex doesn’t actually host a goddamn thing. The site is just a wide directory of anime and Japanese Adult Video, light novels and manga, Asian movies and games, plus a bunch of other shit that will be of interest to your typical, horny fan of big-eyed cat girls and 18+ schoolgirl battle princesses. To download anything on the site, you’re going to need a piece of software called a torrent client. If you need more info than that, Google is your friend. I do porn reviews, not tech support.
Now let’s get to the good shit. AniDex has a very simple, streamlined format typical of most torrent sites. Actually, let me take that back. I’ve seen a lot of torrent sites that are absolutely chock-full of obnoxious spam, and AniDex doesn’t do their users like that. I’ve got my spam blocker running, as always, but it doesn’t even seem to be doing anything because the site is so clean.
Beneath a simple header that doesn’t even feature a stylized logo, you’ll find the listings of the newest torrents that have been added to the site. Like any good, active, torrent site, the updates come very quickly as users contribute to the expansive directory of anime, hentai, and straight-up Japanese porno.

AniDex ain’t strictly an adult site, but they don’t shy away from the grown-up business, either. By default, you’re looking at a grab bag of every format the site deals with. Looking at it right now, the most recent addition is a subtitled anime movie called Ace of Diamonds Act II. Before that, there were a handful of new movies filed under Adult Video.
In fact, most of the material added today is Adult Video or subtitled anime. They’ve also had a few Japanese games and a couple of live-action movies of Kamen Rider Kiva BD Box. Other formats listed up in the header include Light Novel, Manga, Music, Applications, and Pictures.
As a filthy pervert who really only consumes media if it has exposed, bouncing titties and explicit penetration, I do wish AniDex was a little bit more clear about which content includes which types of adult material. The cartoon and comic books smut is spread out all around the site, but unless you’re a manga scholar or dedicated hentai enthusiast, you may not know based on titles which pieces are intended for adult audiences only.
The easiest thing for a porn fan to do if they don’t want any family-friendly material is to fuck with the dropdown in the top right corner of the screen. By default, you’re looking at everything the site has to offer, but with a click or two, you can narrow it down to only the R18+ (adult) material.
As with other torrent sites, documentation on each particular file is really hit or miss. Some torrents are lovingly written up with a full description and a bunch of links to images that you’ll see in the full movie, comic or light novel. Other torrents are completely devoid of any info at all, and you’re left on your own to figure out what it is. As I said, there’s a bit of a learning curve here that’s going to make things difficult for newbies to the genre(s).

I made my way to the Adult Video section of the site in search of some uncensored JAV to get me going one afternoon while drunk on sake. AniDex has a very typical torrent site format, with the sort and filter options you expect. By default, you’re looking at the newest stuff first. As anyone familiar with torrents knows, newest ain’t necessarily the best. If there are no seeds, you’re not going to be able to download a goddamn thing.
Sometimes I see these niche torrent sites and they’ve got a bunch of torrents listed, but each and every one of them has one or two seeds at best. That’s not going to do you any good at all. At AniDex, once I loaded up the Adult Videos, I rearranged the entire list by Seeders. Good goddamn, there are some really healthy torrents here. You JAV fans really love to share, don’t you?
Just about all the filenames I see are written in Japanese with a basically meaningless serial number in Western characters. The most popular, with nearly a thousand seeders, is something that I can only read as SSNI-618. Based on the popularity alone, I really want to know what it is. The description is almost empty except for a link to a JPEG on another site. It turns out to be the cover for the DVD, which features a plaid-skirted 18+ schoolgirl getting felt up and fucked in a classroom.
I checked out a couple more DVD covers at the top of the list. I found a big-titted teen in a swimsuit sucking cock, a MILF getting a creampie from behind, and an office lady who is smiling on the DVD cover but looks like she’s getting stuffed a little uncomfortably hard in the thumbnails on the back. It’s difficult to find the really kinky stuff like futanari, 18+ schoolgirl breast inflation and fake bus molesting uncles unless you already know the titles or speak Japanese. If you don’t know what you’re doing and you don’t set your filter, you’re going to get lost in the sea of legit Gundam, Dragon Ball and Naruto torrents mixed in among the pornographic parodies of the same properties.
That said, I did find a lot of fantastic stuff filed under Manga. You still find a lot of inadequately described material, but at least there are a lot of titles instantly of interest to an English-speaking pervert. Hell, the title to A Stepfather Aims His Daughter is pretty broken Asian Engrish, but it’s pretty clear this is a kinky taboo piece.
AniDex does have some minor flaws. Mainly, this is not going to be a terribly easy site to use if you are not already familiar with the genres of hentai and Japanese Adult video. If you already know what you’re looking for, though, this place is a goldmine of healthy, well-seeded torrents that you can download with very little difficulty.
