Ape Tube! The moment I saw the black on yellow background, I was intrigued, to say the least, to see what ApeTube.com has to offer besides a sweet monkey logo and a delightful homepage layout. My Internet connection was a bit slow this time, probably because all my neighbors are stealing my juice since I don’t bother placing passwords on my connections but once all the thumbs got loaded up I was on my way to dissect the free tube site that had so much to offer. I assumed the best since I got my dick sucked before this review, so Ape Tube was on a roll.
So, okay. Yeah. Mhm. This is most definitely a tube site. Most tubes have their homepage filled with thumbs of videos and so does ApeTube. The difference that I liked with them was that they have around 4 columns to place on the homepage and 7 rows which if you ad these two up amounts to … like a lot of videos. That’s a plus in my book. The responsiveness is also on point, I had no trouble entering the Categories or the videos. It all buffed up really smoothly and then it happened…
The videos are once again, not hosted on the site. What you are getting is a redirection to a site that actually has all these videos. The thing is, with these sites you can’t say that the videos suck, that the quality is not on point but you can blame the “other” mother site that actually hosts the video. I hate these sites for the review sakes but as a fan, they are always great since they offer great versatility with their videos.
They have the regular tabs in the top part of the site and those are Categories, Popular Movies, New and the network that ApeTube managed to score. These are all great resources to check out videos from, but when you have a collector of videos like ApeTube is, there is no need to go to other sites since they are the ones that are gathering all these gems under one roof.
The sorting of the videos is not up to par since some videos are not supposed to be in certain categories. This is to be expected not just on ApeTube but on all sites like this due to the fact that it is practically impossible to check out all of the videos and see if they fit the bill. They’d need a team of porn nerds to check if every video is the exact one, so I understand and I can’t hold it against them but still…I will.
As I was going around the site it was becoming clear to me that this was just a regular tube site, that has nothing special to them other than the cool colors. I mean, sure, if you are here to find some random videos that are plopped there out of pure randomness, then, by all means, check out ApeTube. I’m just saying they could make an effort and offer a bit more content to the users besides the usual. The way that the site can differentiate from all the other tubes is with exceptional looks, great content, and details. Let me spell that out for ya – d.e.t.a.i.l.s. That’s where greatness lies and ApeTube is monkeying around with their stuff when in fact this can be an awesome site.
To each their own. I always say that if you come to a site expecting something and then that site delivers, that tube can be the best tube site in the world as far as that lucky user goes. But there are many others out there and it is hard to keep up with the competition. So let’s break it down to the point.
This site has a vast diversity of videos and that is its biggest strength. That’s it. The versatility of the categories too since the videos have already been pre-tagged so their algorithms can pick that up. If that’s what you want – freshness in videos, by all means, go ahead and pick up ApeTube and even bookmark it. As far as the quality goes, it is a plain site just like any other, and I can’t say that it is nor better nor worse than the others. A 3 out of 5 the most and that’s because of the yellow and black. I stay with my comments ’till I bring them to the grave but you should be the one to judge ApeTube yourself and give them your grade. I’m out!
