Booru.plus is one of those adult sites where the focus ain’t immediately clear, not unless you’re already familiar with the terminology. Even if you know that boorus are imageboards, the default pageview hides all the dirty stuff behind solid-color blocks labeled NSFW, leaving the specifics a mystery. What could lay hidden beneath this red box, this green rectangle or this mauve trapdoor? That’s a little bit of a trick question, meant to get you itching with anticipation, envisioning all the freaky shit that you’d really like to find inside. Are you ready to open door number one?
As the weebs and the neckbeards in the audience have likely guessed by now, Booru Plus is an imageboard full of filthy hentai images. They’re a relatively young site, living on a domain registered toward the end of 2021, but they’ve been making enough noise to catch my attention. It’s Monday morning and I woke up with the weirdest boner today, so let’s kick the week off by seeing how these guys compare to the other spots when it comes to anime perversion. Now, where’d I put my silicone dragon butthole and slime-based lube?
A Booru by Any Other Name
If you’re familiar with certain corners of internet culture, the word ‘booru’ probably put some images into your head right away. Strictly speaking, booru just means imageboard, so it could be applied to any site where the main function is sharing pictures. That said, most sites with ‘booru’ in the title run on the familiar Gelbooru platform or a clone, so that’s what I expected when I pulled up Booru Plus. I was pleasantly surprised to find they’ve actually got a more modern presentation, which is going to make it instantly more accessible to casual internet users versus the fedora-wearing dweebs who inhabit the usual boorus.
If it’s your very first visit to Booru Plus, pretty much everything is going to be hidden under a NSFW warning. When you click your first one, they’ll ask if you’re at least 18 before they actually show it to you. Make sure to check off the box that switches the NSFW setting, otherwise you’re going to have to confirm your age with every click. Switching the NSFW setting basically unlocks the site and transforms that ambiguous front shop window into a veritable shopping mall of hentai.
They’ve kept the interface super fucking streamlined. There ain’t a single text link on the front page, nor even a site logo. Instead, there are just a few simple navigation buttons, and they’ve devoted the entire rest of the screen to the freshest images in the archive.
This, of course, is the real meat of the site. Right away, I was impressed by the wide range of hentai depravity, which encompasses a ton of kinks and niches. As I type this up, the very latest images include a couple furry dog people doing it doggystyle, a realistic blue-haired CG chick licking another girl’s butthole, X-rated depictions of a few of the female X-Men, Velma from Scooby Doo flashing her big ass, a babe getting fucked by tentacles, and a tightly bound BDSM anime chick leaking girlcum all over the floor.
Weird Anime Perversion by the Metric Fuck-Ton
Most of the recent updates out front are filed into just a few of their big categories, like Rule (34), Furry, and Hentai. If you hit that grid button in the corner of the page, you’ll get the full list of Booru.Plus tags. It’s a really fucking long menu, running on for page and pages, listing different parodies, creators, formats, subgenres and fetishes, along with the number of posts in each category.
The size and scope of Booru Plus ain’t immediately obvious from out front, but those numbers on the categories page hint at something absolutely fucking massive. There are hundreds of thousands of images here. Honestly, based on the current size and the rate of growth, that number might be in the millions by the time you end up reading this. The Pokemon aisle alone has nearly 150,000 posts, plus 106k under Vocaloid, 33k examples of Rule 34, and 21k based on The Elder Scrolls. (Come on, weebs, hit me with some Elden Ring parodies! I’m 80 hours in, just hit level 70, and I could use a fap break!)
If you’re into furry content, you’re in luck, because Booru.Plus already seems to have attracted a sizable demographic of furry fans. They’re constantly adding images of sexy cow women, horny cat ladies, and butt-fucking dragon sluts. My Little Pony is also wildly popular, a trend which still boggles my mind when I see it anywhere. They’ve got over 30,000 posts dedicated to Twilight Sparkle alone, plus 24k each for Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, and 20k each with Pinkie Pie and Rarity. Who’s up for some colorful horse sex?
Even if you ain’t into human-animal hybrid humping, you may love all the X-rated depictions of your favorite characters from movies, video games and comic books. They’ve got a really healthy selection of adult parodies, the kind of stuff that probably makes the executives at Disney and Marvel squirm. I just refreshed the front page again and found Spiderman nailing Black Cat from behind, topless Wonder Woman, and Buster Bunny holding onto Babs’ ears while she sucks his rabbit dick.
Right now, the Categories index only runs on for a few pages. It’s still a new site, though, and a hentai site at that. I think that menu will keep expanding indefinitely. As the selection gets bigger and deeper, it’s going to get harder to find your preferred content in the pile. If I could change anything about the presentation, I’d want a more robust method of searching the site. I’d hate for some of this gorgeous, fapworthy artwork to get lost in the shuffle.
Hentai So Fresh It’s Still Squirming
As I’ve been banging out this review, I’ve been refreshing the front page of Booru Plus every few minutes. Each and every single time I do so, there’s a handful of fresh, new images at the top of the screen. The site seems to get a non-stop influx of new additions. Any type of imageboard thrives on the contributions of their userbase. Booru.Plus may be one of the new fuckers on the block, but holy fucking shit, it sure seems like they’ve brought a lot of friends.
I hit the round arrow button again to see what’s been added since I typed the last couple paragraphs. This time, I’ve got X-rated GTA fan art, a dragon girl with her huge tits against a glass table, and a photo of some Insta-thot doing topless Rey cosplay. I also found a nice three-second loop of an anime chick getting boned hard and slow; it’s one big thrust that moves her whole body and makes her giant titties shake. I’m not ashamed to admit I watched it loop for a while, and I wasn’t typing when I did because I simply do not have enough free hands.
I know most of you cheapskates are just going to swing by, shake your dicks at the site and then leave. If you’d like to support the creators a bit, Booru Plus does have a credit-based promotion system. They start at the equivalent of $1 USD in ETH per credit, with significant discounts for bigger packages. It’s worth noting that half of the credits are burned to prevent people from promoting their own posts.
Booru Plus is a fairly easy recommendation to anybody who loves hentai, just on account of the huge, constantly updated collection. The joint gets even easier to recommend if you’re into furry content and/or X-rated parodies, because they’re some of the most popular and well-represented subgenres of hentai here. As the site continues to grow and their menu of categories gets bigger, I think it will be even easier for any random adult anime fan to fall down the rabbit hole into expanding archives of whatever you’re into. Their modern vibes and presentation also make them a great alternative for hentai fans who want an imageboard, but who don’t like the tired and techy format of your typical Booru.
