Kams has the kind of creatively misspelled title that could almost pass for SFW if you didn’t know any better. I might assume it was a TikTok knockoff app, letting people post short videos shot with their selfie cams built into their phones. Of course, this is ThePornDude, where I don’t spend too much time reviewing wholesome, family friendly sites. It might be spelled funny, but I bet you know exactly what kind of cams we’d be talking about the moment you saw the name. Yeah, baby: these are the kind of webcams sexy internet chicks use to flash their titties to the whole world.
Which ain’t to say Kams.me is your typical webcam chat platform. You won’t be tuning in to live camwhores around the world like you would be on sites like Chaturbate and StripChat. You will, however, be tuning in to chicks who were previously live on those same sites. Kams archives the sexiest shows from major webcam sites, letting you get your fix even if you missed your favorite girl when she was online. The site just launched, but went from zero to 13,000 visitors in a matter of days. Naturally, I needed to get in there ASAP for a firsthand look at what the hubbub is all about.
Chaturbate Meets Pornhub
If you thought Kams was going to be a live cam site, you ain’t alone, because so did I. Pulling up the front page, though, it was immediately obvious I was looking at something else. Every live cam site has a front-page spread of models who are live right now. Meanwhile, Kams has more of a tube-style layout because it’s basically a tube. The video thumbnails lining the page ain’t the usual batch of paysite samples and amateur scenes, though, and in fact give away the site’s gimmick right away.
Every thumbnail here shows a grid of images pulled from the prerecorded webcam show in question. It’s honestly kind of a jumbled presentation, and reminds me a lot of those JAV (Japanese Adult Video) sites where the thumbnails are scanned covers of DVD boxes, front and back. You can see a titty or vajayjay here or there, but the individual images are so tiny and crammed together that it’s hard to see exactly what’s going on in most of them.
The pics are so small that it’s not immediately clear, but there’s actually a lot going on here. I’m not sure exactly how Kams chooses which models to follow, but it doesn’t look like they’re wasting resources capturing the fully clothed girls who sit there looking bored all the time. The vids here offer a solid range of content.
Since they’re largely recorded in bedrooms, most of the shows are solo affairs. Anybody who’s visited the big cam sites already expected as much. That said, I didn’t even have to leave the front page before I found a few lesbian duos and a straight couple getting their fuck on. There are also stripteases, twerking, sexy dances, and a whole hell of a lot of masturbation.
The diversity of content does bring attention to one major weak point in the Kams.me setup. I’ve reviewed a number of sites with a similar theme that completely drop the ball when it comes to tagging, which is how most sites organize their libraries. Kams does a little better than some of the competition, offering a little cloud of popular tags at the top of the front page. It’s a pretty weak selection of tags, though, just a few dozen keywords like 18rs and 10blowjob.
I’m actually not sure what’s going on with the tagging here, because they don’t include any of the usual keywords like Dildo, Masturbation, Anal or Striptease. Instead, it’s weird shit like 10tk, 1337skills and 20fj. I clicked the links and looked at the videos included for each of these tags, and I still have no idea what they represent. The “real” tags are buried in the site, too, but as we’ll soon see, you can’t search for them.
The Camwhores You Know and Love
The basic keyword tagging is wonky as fuck, but Kams.me does organize their stash in other ways. Their Categories listed out front are a handful of different video sources you can choose from. As of this writing, they’re archiving shows from four major platforms: Cam4, Chaturbate, MyFreeCams and StripChat. As the site continues to grow, I hope they roll in support for other webcam platforms like LiveJasmin, Cams.com and Streamate. Only time will tell.
Kams is such a new site that I was expecting a very small collection, but I was totally wrong. It looks like they started building the stash even before they registered the domain, because there are videos here as early as May, 2022, nearly a year before they snatched up that Kams.me real estate. It seems they were hard at work long before launch.
As I bang out this review, the current count stands at 186,271 videos. I wouldn’t be very impressed if this was just another anything-goes tube posting every sex act under the sun, but those numbers are even more of a feat when they’re so new and sticking so tightly to a theme. During my visit, I didn’t find a single misfiled amateur iPhone blowjob or paysite sample. This is strictly a collection of prerecorded cam shows.
I’m not sure how quickly the site is growing, though. New sites with massive collections tend to have a non-stop influx of fresh content, so I expected to find new material every time I refreshed the Kams.me front page. To my surprise, nothing new has been posted in the hour or two I’ve been working on this review. It looks like they had an absolutely massive dump of over 2400 cam shows originally published on January 18, but nothing new has been posted since.
Prior to January 18, Kams was getting that same high volume of daily updates, which makes me curious just what the fuck is going on. Perhaps their recording system has gone temporarily offline or they’re dealing with the logistics of video hosting. Whatever the case, I’m hoping it’s just a short-term glitch.
Catching Up on My Webcam Faps
With minimal ways to peruse the stash, I wasn’t sure where to start my fap test. There’s no real Tags list nor Models index, though I did spot a few Riley Reid videos as I was flipping through the pages. For the sake of this review, I figured I’d browse like most porn consumers, imagining I didn’t know any camwhore names to type into the box. Really, the main way to browse here is just by those tiny thumbnail pics.
Despite the miniscule imagery, the thumbnail for a recent Cam4 video had enough exposed flesh to catch my eye. I clicked through to watch the 34-minute video, which started as soon as I hit the Play button. A babe in a tight yoga getup and mask was already jerking and sucking her dude’s dick as the video opened. He dry humps her a bit through her clothes, which start coming off a few minutes later.
There’s no apparent buffering and the video resolution is decent. It ain’t 4K or anything, but it’s crisp enough, and I’m guessing it’s the same quality the show was originally broadcasted in. I think they shot with a laptop webcam, the computer sitting on the bed with them as they got frisky.
I couldn’t help noticing a Blowjob tag above the video player. I clicked it, and to my surprise, it turned up 606 pages of videos tagged with Blowjob. The tagging here is much better than I thought, but there’s still a big problem. When I typed “Blowjob” into the search bar, it only turned up five results, and they were all models with blowjob in their name. The search function ain’t working properly, so without a browsable index of tags, it’s still going to be a challenge to find what you want. Kams is a very young site, so I’m hoping these are just some minor growing pains.
Kams.me isn’t organized quite as well as it could be, but they’ve got the makings for one hell of a webcam sex archive. The biggest selling point here is going to be the massive library, which has basically exploded in the brief period the site has been online. Some little tweaks to the navigation would improve browsability, but for now, I recommend typing your favorite model’s name into the search bar and seeing what they’ve collected so far.
