iTubeGo doesn’t make any big, perverted claims about their masturbatory utility out on their front page. In fact, their whole website is about as SFW as you can get, and the app itself could be used for all kinds of wholesome, family friendly activities. Hell, if your grandma is good with computers, she might even be interested in iTubeGo just for archiving family vids and saving her favorite clips from The Golden Girls. I don’t mean to judge anybody here, but I’m guessing a sexual deviate like yourself is going to use the software for much filthier purposes.
Obviously, iTubeGo.com ain’t the kind of site I usually talk about here at ThePornDude. Unless you’ve got a weird fucking fetish for light techspeak, you’re going to have a hell of a time trying to jack off to the website itself. They do, however, offer a freemium media downloader you can use to save audio and video from over ten thousand websites. The company’s been around for a few years now and only seems to get more popular. They’re getting about a million and a half visitors every month, so let’s see what kind of fun tricks that app is capable of.
But Is iTubeGo Even Legit?
I once bought a pair of cheap “Ray-Bans” from a Chinese website I found spammed in a blog comment section. Seven months later, I received a smashed pair of spectacles with Roy Burns printed on the temples. That wasn’t even the worst part. I soon found out that somebody had used my info to open a credit card in my name, ran up a bunch of debt, and I also had a wicked, burning case of herpes. I’m not 100% sure if that last part was related to the knockoff shades purchase, but the timeline makes sense. Who else could it have been?
The reason I bring this up is because I was admittedly a little bit skeptical about iTubeGo.com when it popped up in my DMs. The company is based in Hong Kong, and frankly this type of app would be a ripe target for malware. I wasn’t about to install it on my laptop without doing a little bit of homework first to make sure it was safe.
The good news is that the company has an excellent reputation. I found a couple different forum posts where people were asking the same question I had, and the consensus is that, yeah, iTubeGo is legit. Perhaps more important than the random message board mentions are the rankings on sites measuring internet trustworthiness. They’ve got a 4.7 out of 5 on TrustPilot, and a 90.6 on Scam-Detector. Simply put, people really like this app. They’ve got some glowing tech-mag quotes on the front page if you still ain’t convinced.
Feeling considerably more at ease, I went ahead and downloaded the app. The basic version of iTubeGo is free, and it only takes about a minute to download. Naturally, I still ran a scan for malware before I installed it. The scan came back cleaner than my last STD test, confirming once again that the app is safe.
I’m reviewing iTubeGo on my PC today, but it’s available for a few platforms. The app currently works on Windows, Mac and Android. That means you’re out of luck if you’re trying to download on your iPad or iPhone, but golden on any of the other standard gadgets. (I’d apologize to the Linux nerds, but I bet you geeks solved your downloading issues years ago.)
I’m not going to get too deep into it with this review because it’s less useful for jacking off, but iTubeGo.com also has a music downloader available. Musify will let you download tracks from Spotify, YoutTube and a ton of other sites. It’s definitely worth a look if you need something like that, and is included with some of the sale bundles in the iTubeGo shop.
What Do You Want to Download? Porn?
The biggest selling point listed all over the place at iTubeGo.com is that the software will let you download YouTube videos. That’s great and all, but of limited value to the masturbator thanks to those stringent YouTube community guidelines. Thankfully, the app also works with another 10,000+ websites, including a bunch of porno tubes.
The very first thing I did when I opened the app was click the Supported Websites button. There’s a section of Most Popular Sites listed at the top, with a couple dozen platforms like Reddit and Facebook video, TikTok, TED and Vevo. Below that, a menu of Adult Sites includes compatible tubes like XVideos, XNXX, Pornhub, xHamster, YouJizz and SpankBang.
While the whole list is a beautiful thing, I’d say the inclusion of Pornhub and OnlyFans are the biggest draws. The standard anti-download policy over at OnlyFans has long been one of my biggest beefs with the content platform, and iTubeGo solves the issue at the click of a mouse.
iTubeGo.com mentions that the features are limited in the free version of the software, but they’re vague about the details on the website. Well, the main limitation is that free users only get three downloads, so choose wisely if you ain’t planning on paying. As of this writing, licenses for the software start at ten bucks a month, which is the most expensive way to get your iTubeGo. The yearly rate is $25, but for my money, the $30 Lifetime Plan is the way to go.
Let’s Give It a Shot and a Fap
To use iTubeGo, you simply paste the URL of any video you want to download into the app and away you go. It’s a mildly clunky process, but pretty standard for most of the downloaders I’ve tried over the last couple decades. They also have a built-in browser, which I think is a much easier way to surf for stuff you want to download. The software will even let you make a list to download in the background while you go about your day.
I loaded up Pornhub in the built-in browser. If you’re a regular at the site, and you probably are, Pornhub already knows what you’re into, even if you never both to log in. My front-page selection this morning included squirting Asians, taboouous sisters and a girl in knee socks getting triple teamed. A 16-minute video of a teenage PAWG getting boned caught my eye, so I figured I’d download it.
Pornhub looks more or less the same in iTubeGo as it does in Chrome. The big difference is that there’s a big, fat Download button on the video in iTubeGo. I clicked it, and a minute later, the video was listed in my Download section. Clicking it there opened the movie in my usual video player, VLC, which gives me a lot more playback options than the usual baked-in Pornhub widget.
Pornhub runs on MP4s, like most free tubes do, so that’s the format that ended up on my hard drive. One of the unexpected and very useful features I found built into iTubeGo is that it can convert media to dozens of different formats. If you’re only downloading MP4s, this might not matter much, but those of you working with AVI, MKV, MOV or more obscure formats will be praising the porn gods for all the time, effort, headaches and blue balls you’re saving here. It might be worth noting that conversion options are very limited with the trial version of the software.
If I have any complaint about iTubeGo, it’s that the OnlyFans downloads weren’t working when I tried today; I kept getting an error every time I tried. If I had to guess, I’d say there’s a constant cat-and-mouse game going on between sites like OnlyFans and the apps/plugins that’ll let you download their videos. While iTubeGo couldn’t download OnlyFans movies today, I imagine the feature will come back soon, at least until OnlyFans catches up again. Then we’ll keep going ‘round and ‘round forever, or until OnlyFans gives in and starts including downloads.
On days when the OnlyFans downloads work, iTubeGo.com is a really fucking easy sell. Even without OnlyFans support, though, the software provides a robust and surprisingly full-featured method of saving media from sites that would really rather you not. From the extremely wide base of supported sites to features like download queues and format conversions, iTubeGo gives you a hell of a lot more power than the average downloader plugin for your browser. The trial is totally free, no credit card or email address required, so it won’t hurt to try it out.
